The race base is located at HC Bukovel, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (location on map). The finish of all distances, except VERTICAL, is in the same location.
Please note that the MEDIUM 66 km distance starts at a different location — in the village of Kvasy. A transfer from HC Bukovel to the start will be organized for participants of this distance; participants may also make their own way there. The VERTICAL finish is located on the summit of Mount Synyak (1,665 m).
3. Transfer
The nearest railway station is Tatariv. Transfer information (Railway Station – Bukovel) is available on the website.
4. Distances, Time Limits, and Requirements. Final tracks will be published on August 6.
Each distance has an established time limit, as well as intermediate time limits at checkpoints (CP). The CP time limit is based on the moment of departure from the checkpoint: a participant must leave the CP no later than the specified time. Participants who exceed the time limit receive a DNF (Did Not Finish) status, must return their chip, and may not continue on the course.
4.1. LITE Distance 9.4 km | +570 m elevation gain. Time limit – 2 hours. Distance track
Difficulty level: easy. The course runs along shaded trails of the Bukovel ski resort. Suitable for: Beginners in trail running who are just discovering mountain races. Participants with children — running together with children is allowed provided they are accompanied by a parent.
4.2. HALF MARATHON Distance 20 km | +1,710 m elevation gain. Time limit – 5 hours.
Difficulty level: easy. The course covers all of Bukovel's ski slopes. Suitable for: Runners with a solid base who are just getting into mountain races. Hikers who want to try fast hiking/running with a light pack.
4.3. VERTICAL Distance 6 km | +870 m elevation gain. Time limit – 2 hours 30 min. Distance track
Difficulty level: intermediate. A route finishing on Mt. Synyak (1,665 m).
4.4. adidas TERREX Kids Trail children's races – 200 m and 1,000 m
All participants receive a finisher medal. Awards for the top three boys and girls are presented at the 1,000 m distance only.
Please note that there is no course marking on the 66 km and 160 km distances.
4.5. MEDIUM Distance 66 km | +4,265 m elevation gain. Time limit – 17 hours.
Difficulty level: hard. This distance is part of the 100-mile course, starting in the village of Kvasy. Participants follow the route by GPS track — carrying a GPS device is mandatory. This distance requires experience in mountain ultratrails. A mandatory requirement for participants is a previous finish at a trail of at least 40 km. The course coincides with the ULTRA distance route.
4.6. ULTRA Distance 165 km | +10,180 m elevation gain. Time limit – 50 hours. Distance track
Difficulty level: very hard. A linear loop route traversing all the ridges around Bukovel: Chornohirsky, Svydovetsky, Maly Horhan, and including iconic summits — Mt. Hoverla, Mt. Petros, Mt. Blyznytsya, Mt. Chorna Klyva, Mt. Synyak. Participants follow the route by GPS track — carrying a GPS device is mandatory. This is a technically demanding trail requiring significant experience in mountain ultratrails. 7. Course Conditions
7.1. General Requirements
Participants must complete the entire distance within the established time limit, following the designated route in non-stop mode. Each participant determines their own pace, rest locations, and duration. Throughout the entire race, every participant must carry a complete set of mandatory gear. This gear must be carried in a personal pack or waist system and may not be passed along the course or to other people. Judges may inspect gear and its contents at any point during the race. The participant must present their gear for inspection. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. Pacing or crew support by persons not registered in the race is prohibited on any section of the course.
Music: playing music through speakers on the course is prohibited. Using headphones is permitted, but they must be removed near CPs or when crossing roads. Failure to comply (e.g., using speakers) may result in a warning or penalty up to disqualification, at the organizers' discretion.
7.2. Route and Checkpoints (CP)
The course passes through mandatory checkpoints (CPs). Visiting all CPs is required for a valid finish. Sections between CPs follow logical paths: roads, trails, and marked segments. Marking: paper signs or paint on trees, rocks, and other objects. Sections that may fall in darkness are additionally marked with reflective markers. Important: the 165 km and 66 km distances have no marking — participants follow the route by GPS track.
7.3. Progress Control
Participants record their passage using electronic timing chips. Missing a punch at any CP may result in disqualification. Some CPs have operating hours limited by the time cutoff. CPs may include:
Aid stations (AS) with light food and drinks
Water stations (WS) with water only
Life bases (LB) at ultra distances — hot food, rest area, and the option to collect a drop bag (a pack of personal items submitted to the organizers in advance)
Detailed descriptions of CPs, aid stations, water stations, and life bases will be published in each distance description.
To have a result recorded, a participant must cross the finish line. If a participant is unable to finish within the time limit, they must notify the organizers of their location by phone. A participant who withdraws from the race must notify the organizers and, if possible, make their way to the nearest CP. A participant who withdraws is responsible for their own return to the base camp.
7.4. Prohibited Actions (result in disqualification or penalty time)
Receiving outside assistance (transport, food, physical or technical support from others), except where provided by the organizers.
Passing personal gear to others for carrying (pack, poles, additional nutrition, etc.). If the assisting person is also a participant, both are subject to disqualification.
Deviating from the course to shorten the distance or bypass designated obstacles or difficult sections, thereby gaining an advantage over other participants. Skipping any checkpoint (CP).
Interfering with course markings, littering, or causing damage to nature.
7.5. Mandatory Rules of Conduct
The race bib must be secured to the front and clearly visible.
Participants must adhere to the principles of fair play.
If an injured participant is found, assistance must be provided and the organizers notified (bib number, location, nature of injury).
Organizers, volunteers, and rescue services have the right to check participants' health and withdraw them from the race if there is a risk to their health or in case of rule violations.
7.6. Running with a Dog
The organizers allow participation with a dog, provided it is on a leash at the start and on a leash or harness throughout the course, under the participant's constant control. A participant running with a dog is not eligible for prize places, regardless of the result. Their time is recorded, but in the results they will be marked as disqualified (DSQ), and the result will not be submitted to the UTMB Index system.
8. Registration
8.1. Entry Fees. Pre-registration for the competition is open until July 29, 2026, inclusive. Participants must be 18 years of age on the day of the start.
