Lviv Opillia Trail

The first Lviv Opillia Trail is a trail race over the hills, forests and historic sites of Lviv Opillia, 30 minutes from Lviv. Start and finish are on the lawn of the Spravzhni Recovery Centre. Four distances from 1 to 30 km.

The day goes on after the finish: a fair of local producers, family activities, a tour of the Stilsko hillfort, lunch by the fire, music and an evening bonfire. You can come without registering for a distance.

Route

• 1 km "Lake Scout" — first steps in trail running among the lakes of Lviv Opillia, for children, families and beginners;
• 13 km "In the Footsteps of the White Croats" — forests and hills to places tied to the ancient White Croat tribe;
• 20 km "Prymy Grotto Seeker" — a route to the Prymy Grotto, one of the best-known archaeological sites of the region;
• 30 km "Conqueror of Lviv Opillia" — the longest route: beech forests, rocks, caves, the Prymy Grotto and the Zhevuski-Lyantskoronski Palace in Rozdil.

• 08:00–09:00 — participant check-in, bib and race pack pickup
• 09:00–09:40 — official opening, minute of silence, flag raising, national anthem, briefing
• 09:40–10:00 — group warm-up
• 10:00 — start of 30 km
• 10:30 — start of 20 km
• 11:00 — start of 13 km
• 11:30 — start of 1 km
• 15:00–16:00 — awards ceremony

Programme for guests on the start lawn:

• 10:00–17:00 — fair of local producers and craftspeople
• 12:00–16:00 — family and children's programme: the "Spravzhnia Rodyna" family quest, activities for the youngest, workshops; some activities for a charity donation
• 12:15–13:45 — charity tour of the Stilsko hillfort
• 13:00–16:00 — lunch by the fire: hot bograch for runners and volunteers
• 16:00–18:00 — bonfire and music programme

Race pack and pickup

Bibs and race packs are handed out 08:00–09:00 on the start lawn. The bib is pinned on the front and must be visible throughout the race.

On the course

Mandatory kit for all distances: the downloaded track, a whistle, a charged mobile phone, a hat or buff, a watch if you have one.

For 20 and 30 km also: a water container (bottle, flask or hydration system), a rain jacket, a first-aid kit (bandage, plaster, antiseptic, painkiller).

Awards

Official awards for winners and participants — 15:00–16:00.

Charity

Funds support recovery programmes for veterans of the Spravzhni Centre. You can also donate via the fundraising jar.

Registration was open until 5 October 2026. A promo code for the discount for military personnel and combat veterans is issued on request by email to [email protected] with a combatant status certificate.
