Uzhhorod Half Marathon is a charity run through the centre of Uzhhorod, starting and finishing on Petőfi Square by the theatre. It is held in April, when the city's cherry trees are in bloom, and is the second race of the Transcarpathian Grand Run series. All entry fees, less organisational costs, go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Asphalt and cobblestones. A single loop through the central streets of Uzhhorod with a stretch through the village of Mynai. Aid stations at 6, 11 and 16 km, music along the course.
Time limits: half marathon — 3 h, 10 km and 2×5 km relay — 2 h.
Half marathon, 10 km and relay runners get a bib, a timing chip, an envelope, a finisher medal (at the finish within the limit) and partner offers. Sakura and kids' runners get a bib, a finisher medal and event photos. Bring an ID and a signed liability waiver; packs can be collected for a third person with a photo of their ID and their signed waiver. Postal delivery of the pack at the participant's expense can be requested via the event's Instagram until 19 April.
Chip timing, changing rooms and bag storage, water and refreshments at the finish, event photos and video. Preliminary results can be contested by email within 3 days of publication.
Top 3 men and women overall in the half marathon and 10 km, top 3 teams in the relay. Every finisher within the limit on the half marathon, 10 km and relay receives a medal.
In 2026 around a thousand participants raised over UAH 2 million for the 101st Territorial Defence Brigade, the 155th Mechanised Brigade and the Stuhna special unit. The previous edition raised over UAH 3.4 million for the 15th Mountain Assault Battalion.
The event pauses during an alert and resumes after the all-clear. Nearest shelters: Shevchenko Linguistic Gymnasium (4 Nezalezhnosti Embankment) and Uzhhorod Lyceum No. 5 (16 Kyivska Embankment).
Registration for the half marathon, 10 km, relay and online run closes on 10 April or when the cap is reached; Sakura and kids' races — 17 April. Entries paid by 1 April get a personalised bib. Transfers to another person and distance changes are possible until 1 April via the event's Instagram for a fee. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Half marathon — 18+; 10 km — 15+ (under 18 with written parental consent); 2×5 km relay — 15+; Sakura 2 km — 12+; kids' races: 100 m — ages 3–5, 400 m — ages 6–11. Age is taken on race day, 19 April 2026. To collect the race pack bring an ID and a signed liability waiver; foreign participants need accident insurance covering athletics competitions.
