Vechirni Pobihenky

Vechirni Pobihenky ("Evening Jogs") is a night trail race through Vynnyky Forest in Lviv by Roman Chepil, long-time course designer of Gorgany Race. A loop of about 9 km over very rough terrain with mud and puddles; the race goes ahead in any weather.

Route

The course runs through Vynnyky Forest on dirt all the way. In rain part of it gets slippery, and mud and puddles are possible even without rain. The route is marked with red and blue arrows at junctions and with reflective tape. ONE is a single lap (9 km), TWO is two 9 km laps (18 km).

• TWO — 2 h 30 min time limit

Only those who follow the approved course and finish within the time limit are classified. Cutting the course means disqualification. Anyone who has not finished by 21:30 must stop running and contact the organisers. Any vehicles on the course are forbidden, and instructions from the organisers' staff must be followed.

Schedule

• 16:30–18:30 — check-in, late entries and chip handout at the start
• 19:00 — start
• 21:30 — time limit ends for all categories
• 21:35 — awards ceremony

If it is not dark enough at 19:00, the start and the rest of the programme may be delayed by 15–30 minutes.

On the course

Recommended kit: a torch, a candle and a mobile phone. The cloakroom and clothes storage are next to the start/finish; the organiser is not responsible for valuables. Anyone who drops out makes their own way to the finish.

Awards

Categories: M1 — men aged 18–34, M2 — men 40+ (born 1986 or earlier), W — all women aged 18 and over. M2 and W apply on the distance that has more entrants as of 22:00 on 4 November; on the other distance everyone moves to M1 or, if they wish, to the other distance. If a distance has fewer than 6 entrants, the organisers may move them to the other one.

Winners and podium finishers in each category receive medals, sponsor prizes and possibly certificates.

Registration and refunds

Pre-registration and payment are on the RunStyle website until 23:59 on 5 November; late entries are accepted at the start on 7 November from 16:30 to 18:30. An entry consists of a completed form, a signed statement and a paid fee. The cap is 100 participants per distance.

The fee is not refunded if a participant cancels. By registering, participants agree to the use of their data for the purposes of the event and of race photos in information and promotional materials; data is not passed to third parties.

Getting there

Start and finish are at the edge of Vynnyky Forest, at the turn by 185 Pasichna Street, next to the tyre shop.
