Vyshyvanka Run is a sports and patriotic initiative that has brought runners together in Ukraine and abroad since 2014. The 13th run, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Independence Day, took place in Urban Park at VDNH in Kyiv. Participants run in sportswear with elements of the vyshyvanka, the traditional embroidered shirt. The founder is Oleksandr Kuzin, a Ukrainian marathoner and Olympian; since 2023 the co-organiser is Creative States.

Race pack and pickup

Free Run is a format without a pack, chip or timing for those who registered after online registration closed.
On the course
Changing rooms and bag storage (07:00–13:00), pit stops with water and food.
Awards
Top 3 men and women overall on 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km and 5 km Nordic walking.
Charity
Part of the registration income goes to charity. In 2026 about 2,000 participants raised UAH 260,000 for health insurance for 50 children who lost a parent in the war, together with the Children of Heroes charity foundation.
Air-raid alert
The event pauses during an alert; participants leave the park and go to the shelters marked on the route map. The run resumes after the all-clear and the schedule may shift.
Registration and refunds
Online registration was open until 21 August on Timing Events. From 22 August and on race day, registration at pickup was possible subject to availability, in Free Run format. An "Online" category lets participants run in their own city. Corporate orders of 10+ are arranged by email.
